Very proud of myself Ok this showed up on the Gold Box deal one day so I grabbed it. After it arrived I spent some time playing with it and am absolutely amazed at theoverall quality of the pen which was a big relief since spending so much for a pen worried me. Once I got familiar with the features I realized asmuch as I was enjoying it I knew this was the ultimate thing for a college student so I gave it to my nephew as he is just about to start his Freshmenyear and let me tell you the way his face lit up ..well I woulda paid alot more just for that reaction.
A musthave for any student! I am absolutely in love with this product. It has greatly improved my studying as well as what I get out of my college classes. I wish I would have had this in high school. The description and the videos on the website do NOT do it justice! I bought the 1GB at eighty during a goldbox deal and it was a GREAT price! Even the ink refills and having to buy the special notebooks is worth it. Never before have I had such an easy time reviewing my notes.
Cool Pen My sister is into Graphic Designs and i love itI want one due to all the cool things it can do specially if you have a MAC.
It is like Apple made it So easy to use and it just works exceptionally well. If it were a little better looking I would believe apple had made it.
My son loves it I bought this for my son when he went off to college back in 2009.He uses it all the time and I have heard no complaints. I buy new notebooks and refills every year.He has used it to dispute a professor's statement that he said no such thing in a lecture.It seems to have also caught on with other students he knows.I recommend to any college student as a clever useful tool.
Simply amazing I recently decided to return to school to finish my degree and decided to get this pen. I typically miss things when taking notes because I'll miss what the professor says while I'm writing. This solves that problem. This thing is simply amazing. It does much more than advertised as well with many apps think of iPhone apps like translators dictionaries games and other tools.
wonderful The set up was a breeze the video tutorials were well done and clear and the pen does what I expected it would do. I have not tested in a meeting with lots of people echos or background noise but so far in a smaller quieter setting it is superb. I especially appreciate that the charger is also the tool to upload. A well crafted tool well worth the money.
I do not recommend the Livescribe Echo pen The Echo pen worked fine except for the audio that just would not upload. It worked for a couple of weeks then refused to upload anything at all. . Tried the newer software update to no avail. The company finally replaced the pen but it still would not upload anything. That was months ago. I strongly suspect software issues but I cannot use the pen since November. I give up on it.Do not buy this pen.
Works in NEAR DARKNESS & WITHOUT INK!! Others here have listed many great aspects of this pen thanks!! and I haven't even gotten to use all of the features of this pen but I do want to point out that it works in NEAR DARKNESS. I am taking a film course and most our classes are spent watching films. I like to take brief notes during the film so I can reference certain scenes or emotions at a later time. I was worried that there wouldn't be enough light in the room for the little Livescribe Camera to work but I am elated to report that it works just fine! I will add that I do sit in the front row closest to the screen/source of light in the room I am righthanded and I sit with the screen to my right so my writing does block some of the light as well and I try to write during brighter scenes however my pen so far has picked up ALL of my notes even those written during darker scenes. I am truly shocked.Also at a meeting recently my Pulse pen ran out of ink and I didn't have a refill on me.
Helpful and Fun to Use A Kid's Review I got this product as a gift for my birthday last year. When I first got it I was slightly disappointed that it wasn't what I wanted although I did think it was pretty cool. I forgot about it until the next morning when my mom reminded me of. Me and my friend had a blast with it. We doodled in the notebook recorded audio and thought it was awesome when we saw what we drew appear on the computer screen.Installation was great as far as I can remember although it was slightly slow. The construction quality is pretty good but it's hard to get a good grip on it sometimes. Overall it's very useful and I believe it will come in handy in the future.
