Exactly what I wanted! I researched the hand held digital recorders on Amazon read all the reviews and decided this product would work for me and it does perfectly. I did not need any download capacity so this little gadget fills in the gap between my good intentions and my brain. It seems like I get all my good ideas and/or things I need to do when I'm driving or in the middle of a project. I keep this recorder in my work apron and before the idea escapes me I record itlater I add it to my list of things to do and that keeps me on track. I haven't even read the instructions and it's meeting all my needs.
Bought this for my mother My mother loves it! Slight learning curve with the older folks But it does exactly what she needs to to do.
voice recorder the voice recoder is a big help to me. i take it into my doctor office so my wife can hear what the doctor said.
Great Recorder for your money I bought this recorder in 2007 for RN school. Best investment for my money. I would play back lecture while I slept. This recorder still works and still has some of my lectures on it from RN school. My son loves playing with it and hearing his voice play back. I don't always keep batteries in so when I reboot it nothing has deleted off.
Perfect This recorder is perfect. It is a little difficult to figure out how to work in the beginning but after several uses you get used to it and it includes nice features such as one that enables you to store different recordings in different folders. The sound quality s very good.
olympus vn3100 voice recorder I own a vn900 which works well but only has a short memorythis one has much more memory but does not record music guitar very wellsounds like it is under waterthe voice comes over clearly but it's hard to understand chordsI bought the recorder to capture ideas both vocally and instrumentally and am disappointed..
Poor recording for our needs I bought this for my daughter to hear herself sing. The recording is distorted and full of static. Very low quality sound for music recording. Waste of money!!!! I wanted to rate it zero.
Tried and True I have had this little gem for over a year now got it for Christmas 2007 and it is still going strong. I tried switching away to other recorders integrated into my Phone or Palm Lifedrive but nothing was this easy. As a part time writer and full time businessman ideas for stories and tasks come to me at the most inoportune times. Now I just grab the recorder out of my shirt pocket unlock it with my thumb [slide on the left side near the top]I am right handed and click the record button [Silver button on the upper right]. With I am done I hit stop [Silver button on the upper left] and lock it back up. I can now do this in a few seconds without even looking.Once back at my PC I hook it up through the miniusb jack which automatically launches the software. I download all the recordings then erase the recorder. When I have a few minutes during the day I go through the recordings and either list the tasks on the todo lists or rename the recording to something that reminds me of the content and store in a folder for later retreival.Just as a general practice I precede all my recording with a one or two word desciption of the topic. For example Task or Meeting or with the Story Title Peter Rabbit. That way if it is a fairly long idea and I know I don't need it right away I will simply stop the playback rename it and store it. Also it is a good practice to only record 1 idea per recording to make it easier to sort later.The only complaint I have is with the playback software.
Olympus vn3100 Sound recorder Recorded too much static couldn't even go back and listen to my lectures after classalso was a bit tricky to figure out all the slots. I don't recommend it product. I endeded up just using my iPhone to record class lectures and it works 10x better.
Great! High quality voice recorder. Lectures recorded on it are clearly audible in HQ setting which records much less hours than the advertised capacity by the way.
