Portable Cassette Adapter Software Features Wow Wow ..Thank You Sam the DB Tech Man!

Dud, For Christmas 2011, I received a Db tech tape to digital converter. I finally got a chance to play with it the weekend of January 14-15 and was very pleased with the ease of use and performance.
Now this past weekend, January 21-22, I tried to use it again, only to find it is no longer working properly. It will record the first and maybe part of a second song before it plays and records a warbling/trilling in the audio. Thinking it may have been the tape, I tried several others with the same result. I then tried the same tapes in another tape player and the tapes played correctly.
I went back through the original paperwork looking for a troubleshooting guide and found none. There was no number to call with questions.
I have emailed Dbtech and they say they will replace it once I send them the order number from when it was purchased. (As it was a gift, I may or may not be able to provide that number.)
After reading the other reviews, I agree it is very cheap looking, but I will have to say for the one weekend it worked, I was pleased with its performance. However, I don't think it's too much to expect it to work for more than one weekend before becoming useless garbage.
DB Tech Audio USB portable cassette tape, This item worked fairly well for 2 cassette tape. Then when I tried the 3rd tape would not record at all, no messages (error) So another item in the garbage.
Waste of time., The idea of transferring my audio cassettes to digital really appeals to me, but the amount of time to import each track in real time, and then add song title, artist and any other tagging information I might want...well it is just to much. It would have been nice if the seller was upfront about this in the advert.
Wow Wow ..Thank You Sam the DB Tech Man!, Right now I am elated! I was very impressed that I received my tapr player in a timely manner. Then I was so disappointed because I was unable to get it to work. I emailed tech support my issues and without any hesitation Sam, in tech support wrote that a new device was on its way to me! I received the new one two days later. My joy was short lived again however, when I had the same issue after installing the new device. Instead of throwing up my hands in frustration, I emailed Sam in DB Tech support again and asked if anyone could call me for assistance. Sam sent me his number and told me to call at my convenience. I did....THE REST IS HISTORY! Sam was able to identify the issue, which by the way, had absolutely nothing to do with the product but was with the settings on my laptop and remotely fix the issue in less than 5 minutes. I had read the reviews for this product before I purchased it, so I knew it was not considered by others to be sturdy or durable and that the mechanism was thuoght to be confusing. I purchased it anyway because it fit the budget for my project and I thought I would chance a LEAP OF FAITH. Boy, I am glad I did. For the price, this tape player is a very good value and there is no problem with the quality of sound. I have no problems with this device and if I ever do, Sam is just a phone call away! I am beginning to believe that a product and company are only as good as the customer service they provide! I will be doing business with DB Tech in the future because they are a company I can trust and rely on.
Cassette tapes to CD, I bought this little tape player because I have a bunch of old cassette tapes I wanted to transfer to cd's,Lot of the reviews said it was hard to install the software and what not, I'm not a rocket surgeon, but I got it put on my laptop and desktop in about 20 minutes, READ the instructions! Which by the way are printed pretty small but readable. Its a Little bit slow transferring data, and a little bit of a learning curve to figure out which way to put the tape in so side one plays first etc. Play with this little gem and you can do it too. Only thing I did notice was it sounded like some of my tapes were skipping like old vinyl LP's used to, sort of cutting out for just a word or so.
very very cheap, While this does what it says it does, the item is extremely cheaply made. The auto reverse and rewind never worked, and the play button stopped working after the first play. I do NOT recommend this product.
Customer Service Excellence, This product was given to my husband for Christmas and was working great then it quit. I emailed the company asking if they could help us. They responded immediately and sent us a new one immediately too! They were so wonderful and the product is great. My husband was given tapes of original radio programs such as "The Lone Ranger" and "The Shadow" and "Boston Blackie", just to name a few. He's converting to CD's and the product is wonderful.
Piece of Junk, This thing is a piece of junk. It doesn't playback the cassette at the original speed. It's very slow...and I even changed the batteries twice during "side a" of one cassette. Don't waste your money.
DB Tech is superb, They sent me a recorder and the rewind didn't work. They paid for the return and sent me a new recorder which works beautifully. This is a great company to deal with.
ease of use, great product to use, very simple instructions. Would like more in depth instructions.
