GSI Recorder Microphone Earphones Included defective product

Sound quality is terrible, I was trying to use it as a voice recorder only. The sound replayed by this thing is terribly distorted, both when played through build-in tiny speaker (which makes things even worse), or through headphones. Changing between "LP" and "HP" sound quality modes does not make much difference. My 20-years old microcassette voice recorder sounds ten times better. Back it goes.
