good I bought this recorder to record my favourite teacher's lecture. I always take the front seat and it works well to pick up the teacher's vocie. But not so high quality as I imagined.
Nice for the price In my job I need to have a quality device that I know will work and because my job activities tend to be a little harsh on things I don't want to spend a lot of money. This device fits the bill. Easy to use and simple interface with either my desktop or laptop. I do have one complaint but it has nothing to do with the product but rather Amazon itself. I signed up for the text alerts when my package is 24 hours out and I have yet to receive any notifications after many many deliveries. Oh wellthis is about the vioce recorder. Good product great price. I didn't give it 5 stars because I'm not sure about it's duarbility as I just got it.
Distressingly cheap Bought this to replace an Olympus DS30 which I washed and dried. trying to clean up my languageThat recorder was solid made of metal and could take a beating. The 7600 however is plastic everything. I don't trust it to last. Made in China and plastic. hmmm.I have purchased the ds30's replacement the 620 because it is made of metal.I'll sell you the 7600 for 30 bucks and it's new. Well except for the packaging which I discarded.
perfect novelist tool I am a novelist and now own three of these. When ideas come for various projects I pick up the appropriate recorder each wears a different colored rubber band above the control buttons click open the right file and talk until there is nothing left to say. It's lovely to be able to get the thoughts down whether I am in my office an airport or half asleep somewhere. The recorders have survived airport scanning being crammed into my backpack and dropped now and then. They have all three been stuffed to capacity with entries then emptied then restuffed with new material.
Great digital recorder I've been very happy with my Olympus VN7600 PC so far and this is after 3 or 4 months of use. I use it almost entirely for notes and reminders to myself so my files are generally short messages where I'm speaking into the recorder. I haven't used it for lectures or other more distant sources but based on the background sounds my unit has picked up the sensitivity seems like it would be fine for those purposes.The best thing about this model is the layout of the control buttons which is identical for two previous models with lower internal memory the VN6200PC and VN5200PC. With the exception of the hold switch on the left side of the recorder all of the buttons are on the front. The primary 3 buttons record stop and play are nice and large and very easy to operate by feel with my thumb while holding the recorder in one hand. This is especially nice for driving even after dark. If a great thought occurs to me like remember to feed the cat before leaving tomorrow morning while I'm driving at night I can easily operate the recorder strictly by feel. My father who has some dexterity problems with his fingers tells me he also finds the controls quite easy to use on his VN5200PC and he has had problems with some other makes and models of pocket recorders.Transferring files back and forth between the recorder and computer isn't something I do often but I've performed the operation enough times to be able to say it's very easy. In Windows Explorer the recorder simply shows up as another external drive/storage device when you connect it via the supplied USB cable. The cable is only about 6 inches long which might be a problem for some computer USB port locations but for my computer that cable length is convenient and keeps things uncluttered in front of the computer.Since I use my recorder for lots of short messages I don't really have a feel for battery life as far as how many hours one gets from the 2 AA batteries but I haven't yet replaced the original batteries and the power indicator on the display still shows 2 of 3 bars. It's a nonissue for me.Two things I'd like to be a little different there is just a bit of a delay when starting to record after the button is pushed.

Great Recorder This is a great voice recorder. I use it to record my patho/pharm nursing class. After you record a class you simply plug the device into your computer via a usb cord and then you can do whatever you want with it. It's easy to transfer a lecture from my flashdrive to a friend's flashdrive. The recording is automatically saved as an MP3 or WMA file. You can record up to 888 hours without having to delete a lecture.
I RECOMMEND THIS! My friend recommended this model to me after telling her that I was in need of a recorder for school. 3 wordsAMAZING VOLUME QUALITY! And that's without headphones. While I was waiting for this one to come in the mail I borrowed a different one from another friendyou could only hear the recordings if you have headphones on. I love this recorder so far! It also comes with 2 free AAA batteries too.
Excellent choice This is one great little pocket voice recorder. I am amazed at the ease of operation and clearity of this recorder. If you are in the market for one don't pass this one up you won't be disappointed.
Excellent I'm delighted with this. It's light but sturdy and is incredibly easy to set up and use don't worry if you're not at all 'techy' and the sound is remarkably good even when relying on the builtin microphone. I use it for interviews and I'm so pleased with how it performs.
